Cookies & Storage
Last updated: 2026-05-21
Alumli uses only strictly necessary browser storage. We don't use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or any third-party cookies. Because everything we store is essential to making the service work, EU ePrivacy rules do not require a consent banner — but we believe you should know what's there.
What we store
| Name | Where | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | localStorage | Keep you signed in between visits. | Until sign-out or token expiry. |
| cohort_pending_invite | sessionStorage | Hold an invite token across a Google sign-in redirect. | Until tab closes or invite accepted. |
| alumli_storage_ack_v1 | localStorage | Remembers you dismissed the storage notice. | Until you clear your browser storage. |
| theme | localStorage | Remembers your light/dark theme preference. | Until you clear your browser storage. |
Third parties
- Google sign-in — only if you use "Continue with Google". Google sets its own cookies during the OAuth flow. See Google's privacy policy for details.
- Cloudflare — our hosting provider may set a short-lived security cookie to block automated abuse.
No analytics, no ads
We don't run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, Mixpanel, or any similar product. We don't sell or share usage data with anyone.
Clearing storage
You can clear everything Alumli stores from your browser's Site Settings → Storage. Signing out also removes your auth token.
